County Football Coach - Applications Invited

Manchester FA County Coach Supporters

Manchester County Football Association working in partnership with The Football Association, Tesco and Redyset Igoal are seeking to appoint a full time County Football Coach. This exciting position will report to the County Development Manager and will commence on 1 March 2009. The successful applicant will be based at Manchester FA, Salford Sports Village.

Each post is full time for 40 hours per week and will include a minimum of 30 hours per week of coaching, including Development Centres, Clubs, Schools, and after school clubs. A minimum of 50% of each role will be focused on developing the girls and women’s game. Your work will also focus on working and enhancing opportunities for Redyset as a Key Partner of Manchester FA.

This post will provide support for schools and clubs across the County, specifically operating in priority areas where current activity is low and to address gaps in provision. The individual will also work with the Girls’ and Women’s Football Development Officer to provide coaching support at all levels of the girls’ and women’s football pyramid.

You must hold a minimum of a Football Association Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football, and have a good understanding of the organisation and structure of football development and Girls and Women’s football specifically. You must be a confident verbal communicator who can plan coaching sessions, autonomously or as part of a team. You must have an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities, and experience of working in diverse cultural communities.

The annual salary for the post is £18,000 and the post will be offered on a fixed term contract commencing 1st March 2009 expiring 30th June 2010. It is anticipated that the post will be extended subject to securing additional funding.
